Elements: What’s in a name
The elements—water, earth, air, and fire—hold deep symbolic meaning and are the foundation of life. Water represents the flow of emotions and adaptability. Earth symbolizes stability, grounding us in our physical existence. Air signifies intellect, communication, and freedom, reflecting the power of thought and expression. Fire embodies passion, transformation, and energy, mirroring our drive for growth and resilience in the face of challenges. Together these elements encapsulate the multifaceted nature of the human experience, reminding us of our interconnectedness with the world around us.
Mission & Values of Elements Counseling & Wellness Spa
Our mission is to provide a safe space for personal transformation, growth, and recovery. We follow values of confidentiality, empathy, diversity and cultural inclusion, evidence-based practice, nonmaleficence, social justice, competence, the importance of human relationships, and community.
What makes Elements Counseling & Wellness Spa Unique?
At Elements, we believe in supporting clients in creating a holistic health program that suits their unique needs. We strive to make the combination of traditional psychotherapy and holistic wellness services accessible to all people. A holistic approach is achieved by utilizing complementary wellness programs. This approach has proven to be more effective in treating mental health, trauma, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, family systems, relationships, personal growth, and change initiatives compared to traditional talk therapy alone. This systemic approach to all dimensions of health creates a ripple effect in individual lives, enhancing positive outcomes for individuals, couples/relationships, families, and society.

Leah Horner (She/Her)
MA, LAPC, CCTS
Therapist
Imagine a counseling space where you feel completely safe to be your authentic self. That’s the environment Leah strives to create. As a graduate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, Leah is passionate about creating a safe haven for those on their healing journey. Leah’s passion for this work was ignited by her time working with children in rural Ohio and young adults aging out of the foster care system in Pittsburgh. These experiences taught her that healing is a deeply personal journey, and it’s one we shouldn’t have to walk alone.
Leah approaches therapy from a collaborative, non-judgmental stance. Instead of seeing you as a problem to be fixed, she helps you understand the different “parts” of yourself using Internal Family Systems (IFS). She believes that these parts, which might be causing distress, simply need to be understood and cared for. She also incorporates Gestalt therapy, helping you stay present and build a compassionate yet direct relationship with your own experiences. Working with Leah means a more focused, personalized experience, as they bring a fresh and up-to-date perspective to their practice.
Leah is a fierce advocate for LGBTQ+ folks, neurodivergent people, and people of color, and she is committed to walking alongside all marginalized groups as they learn to heal their wounded parts and live more fulfilled, aligned lives. When she’s not immersed in her studies or working with clients, you can find Leah at electronic music festivals, watching reality TV, practicing yoga, or spending time in nature with her boyfriend and her beloved cat, Buster. She also enjoys creating beautiful wire-wrapped crystal jewelry.
Leah is currently accepting new clients. To schedule an appointment, please call 412-587 6020.

Victoria Zaitz (she/her)
Spiritual Mentor
Victoria always felt the call to serve others. Her first love was poetry and visual art, but her calling led her to the non-profit world. She worked for a labor rights organization, a women’s shelter, a crime victim assistance agency, as a service-learning director, a collegiate assistant for international affairs, and spent two years volunteering for Americorps. She became an activist for LGBTQIA+ and women’s rights at the University of Pittsburgh, where she received a BA in English Writing. She also completed a Master’s in Human Rights/Women’s Studies at Chatham University.
Victoria’s first spiritual experiences as a child include visions of goddesses, spirits and other entities. Her Grandmother shared stories about visitations from passed-on family members, read magazines about astrology, and discussed all things “woo.” Mediumship and psychic ability is in the family.
Victoria felt different from her peers as her interests were unorthodox: out of body experiences, meditation, the purpose of life, art, literature, philosophy, world religions and mythology, mysticism and spirituality, social justice activism, alternative music and subcultures.
Her difficult and traumatic background as a child led to a mental health crisis when she was 18. Her recovery from clinical depression was achieved in large part through the practice of Buddhist meditation. At that point she was heavily invested in exploring different spiritual paths and practiced Buddhism, Wicca, and kundalini yoga.
When she began taking spiritual classes, intuition felt natural. She realized that this ability could be accurate, helpful and healing. After being mentored by the Spiritualist community, in 2007 she became a professional reader.
Through a disciplined practice of yoga and meditation, she had a spiritual and kundalini awakening in 2010 that rooted her connection to the Divine and brought her the realization that we are all one.
Victoria inferred that she needed to understand spirituality and its connection to the psyche to be more helpful to her clients, and that led her to obtain a second Masters in Transpersonal Psychology from Sophia University in California.
Her current interests and training include shamanism, shamanic healing and ceremonies, and the intersection of psychology and spirituality.
She is a full-time spiritual mentor, intuitive counselor, medium, reiki/shamanic healing practitioner, spiritual development coach, writer, and teacher. A large amount of her time is spent working one on one with clients.
Another important component is teaching and mentoring. She has taught hundreds of spiritual and wellness-based classes, locally and in Lily Dale, NY. She is passionate about meditation and has participated in many retreats.
Victoria has particular expertise in soul connection relationships, kundalini/spiritual awakening, paranormal experiences/investigations and house cleansings, mentoring in psychic development, and narcissistic abuse recovery. Victoria uses trauma-informed therapeutic techniques and also offers guided meditations, past life regression, somatic healing sessions, shamanic ceremonies, and sound healing with crystal bowls.
Her services focus on empowering clients to release emotions, heal trauma, recognize life patterns, reprogram negative beliefs, and gain a deeper understanding of their personal psychology and life purpose. She loves nature and her cat, Miracle.

Yoga Instructor
Sam is a dedicated and compassionate Yoga Teacher and Personal Trainer with over 10 years of experience supporting whole-person well-being. She believes the mind, body and spirit are deeply interconnected, and strives to help people feel more at home in their bodies.
Currently in her third year of training to become a Yoga Therapist, Sam runs an independent practice offering Personal Training, Yoga, Nutrition Coaching, and Group Exercise sessions – both one on-one and in groups. Her approach combines academic study at Duquesne University with lived experience, emphasizing accessibility, autonomy, and trauma-informed awareness.
Yoga began as a deeply personal practice for Sam, providing safety, exploration, and self-acceptance as a queer person. Over time, this connection evolved into a commitment to serve others, particularly within LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities. She intentionally creates spaces that are affirming, empowering, and judgment-free, recognizing that not everybody has felt welcomed in traditional wellness settings.
Sam believes true wellness comes from balance: the body thrives with movement, the mind thrives with stillness, and every practice should meet the individual where they are. With care, curiosity, and respect, she helps students explore movement, build resilience, and reconnect with themselves – on their own terms.
